IntLaw Cup

The 2026
IntLaw Cup
Vis Moot Edition

IntLaw Cup
The Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (Vis Moot) is the leading global competition dedicated to the study and practice of international commercial sales law and arbitration. It offers law students an intensive, practice oriented forum to engage with disputes arising under the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, while also serving as a unique space where academics, practitioners, and future counsel exchange perspectives and identify emerging talent. Building on this foundation, the IntLaw Cup serves as a pre-moot to the Vis Moot.
The 2026 IntLaw Cup will take place from 5 to 8 March 2026 via Zoom, bringing together 16 university teams from different jurisdictions for four days of advocacy and engagement with leading figures in commercial arbitration.
The IntLaw Cup Experience
Competition Structure
From Thursday to Saturday, teams will participate in general rounds, arguing both claimant and respondent sides of the case. Each round will be heard by panels of experienced practitioners who will offer feedback on advocacy technique and legal reasoning.
The highest-ranked teams will advance to Sunday’s elimination rounds, which include the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the final round.
In addition to the competition itself, the 2026 edition will feature two open sessions:
-
a seminar on commercial arbitration
-
a moot-oriented advocacy workshop
Expressions of Interest
Applications for teams are now closed. If the number of registered teams exceeds the cap, the organization will make selections ensuring a balanced geographical representation.
Practitioners and academics interested in serving as arbitrators are also kindly invited to submit their expression of interest through the 2026 IntLaw Cup (Vis Edition) │ Arbitrator Expression of Interest Form.
